Mental Health and Stress Assessment

Your mind is part of your health profile.

Mental health is a core component of overall wellbeing, yet it is rarely included in routine health check-ups. Chronic stress, anxiety, and low mood do not just affect how you feel — they directly influence your metabolic health, cardiovascular risk, immune function, and even how quickly your body ages. Our Mental Health and Stress Assessment provides a structured, validated screening of your psychological wellbeing as part of your complete health picture.

What we assess

We use internationally validated screening tools to assess your mental health. The PHQ-4 is a brief, reliable questionnaire that screens for both anxiety and depression, identifying individuals who may benefit from further support or intervention. The PSS-10 (Perceived Stress Scale) measures how stressed you feel in your daily life, capturing the chronic low-grade stress that many people normalise but that significantly affects their health over time.
We also assess your social connection and support network, which research consistently identifies as one of the strongest predictors of long-term health and longevity. When screening results indicate a need, we arrange specialist referrals for mental health support, counselling, or further evaluation.

Why it matters

Chronic stress elevates cortisol levels, which in turn drives insulin resistance, weight gain (particularly around the abdomen), high blood pressure, and systemic inflammation. People with untreated anxiety or depression have significantly higher rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and premature ageing. Addressing mental health is not separate from addressing physical health — they are deeply connected.
Research also shows that perceived stress and social isolation are independent risk factors for mortality, comparable in magnitude to smoking or physical inactivity. Including mental health screening in a comprehensive health assessment ensures that these risks are identified and addressed alongside your physical health.

This assessment is especially valuable if you

Experience persistent stress from work, relationships, or life circumstances. Have noticed changes in your sleep, appetite, energy, or motivation. Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or low in mood more often than not. Want a complete picture of your health that includes psychological wellbeing. Have physical symptoms (such as headaches, digestive issues, or fatigue) that may be stress-related.
